Interactive Magazine

Name of Project: Interactive Magazine

My Role: Design an interactive ePub version of the client’s print magazine.

Client’s Name: Car & Driver Magazine

Intended Audience: Those who are car and truck enthusiasts, predominantly men ranging from ages 18-45, who want information on the latest trends in the automotive community.

Strategy and Concept: To gain additional interest in the magazine, I added animations, video, interactive buttons, and clickable links to this immersive version of its printed counterpart. I stayed within the style guidelines for the color palette, typography, and content to remain consistent with the brand’s image.

Reasons for decisions: The target audience is familiar with the brand and its image, so adding interactive features creates a more immersive experience to the content the demographic is used to. Digital publishing is becoming more progressive with interactivity, and the brand wanted to integrate its content to keep up with the latest trends.
