Client’s Name: Splash Kingdom Waterparks – Canton, TX location
Intended Audience: Families of all ages in the Van Zandt County area of East Texas who want to cool off in the summer while having good family fun.
Strategy and Concept: The focus of the signs was to showcase a new and modern appearance of the waterpark’s image by integrating a bright and youthful color palette, family-friendly illustrations, and playful typefaces.
Reason for decisions: Each sign had to portray the location it was representing to ensure the guests would understand where they were within the park. To visually communicate each sign’s location, the typography was the hierarchal element on the signs, along with an accompanying graphic that related to the specific area. In addition, each sign had water-related graphics within the design to further convey the brand’s image.
